The exhibition offers an insight into the works of an historical brand in jewellery - the house of Faberge, whose fame was secured mainly by the excellence of Carl Faberge, jeweller to the court of the Russian tsar. This project is the part of the 2010 - 2012 programme of cooparation between ministries of culture of the Latvian Republic and the Russian Federation. Works for the exhibitions are from the All-Russia Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Arts, the State museum of History, the Fersman Mineralogical Museum (Russia), the Latvian National Museum of art and private collection.

Carl Faberge had a special ability to attract outsanding masters and create beneficial conditions for the flourishing of their talent . Francois Birnbaum, Mikhail Perkhin, August Holmstrom, Henrik Wigstrom and others carried the fame of the Faberge brand in to the world.
